Having based his reputation on songs of blood and bone, Cave gave into the inevitable and committed his Bad Seeds to an entire album of songs with homicidal intentions.
Famously the album's main selling point was Cave's duet with Kylie Minogue on Where The Wild Roses Grow - a collaboration which enhanced both careers.
In truth the real jewels of the album were Cave's definitive rehash of the traditional Stagger Lee, the wild child hoe-down The Curse of Millhaven, the blood-spattered O'Malleys Bar and the closer, a cover of Dylan's Death Is Not The End.
